20 Questions Game For Couples
20 Questions is such a fun game to play especially if you have time to kill or are simply looking for a creative way to add some excitement to your date night.
If you’re like me, coming up with fun conversations to have on a date night can sometimes be a challenge.
Especially if you and your partner have been together a long time, you can fall into the rut of having the same conversations and the same date night.
That’s one of the things I LOVE about playing this 20 questions game for couples with my husband.
As soon as we begin the game, immediately we begin connecting, laughing, and making new fun memories together.
How To Play 20 Questions
You probably remember the standard 20 questions game can be played with 2 or more players.
Player #1 begins the game by thinking of something that is either an animal, mineral, or vegetable.
The other players ask up to 20 yes or no questions until they discover what it is that Player #1 is thinking about.
Example yes or no questions that players ask:
- Is it an animal?
- Does it live in the wild?
- Does it have fur?
- Is it more than 50 pounds?
- Etc, etc, etc…
Whoever correctly guesses what it is that Player #1 is thinking of wins that round.
Now, to spice things up we have a fun date night couples edition of 20 questions that you are going to love!
20 Questions For Couples Game
In the 20 questions couple’s edition, there are only two players.
It’s just you and your significant other.
The game is similar to the original 20 questions game in that you get 20 yes or no questions to discover what it is that your partner is thinking of.
The twist to this game is that you can only think of things that have to do with your relationship and memories that you’ve shared with your partner or future memories you want to create together.
How To Play 20 Questions Game For Couples
For this 20 questions for couples edition, there are 4 categories for what you can be thinking of instead of 3 in the original 20 questions game.
Categories For 20 Questions For Couples:
#1 – Place
#2 – Thing
#3 – Memory
#4 – Idea/Dream
The goal of this game is to get you and your significant other reminiscing about past experiences that you have shared as well as dreaming up new experiences that you want to make together in the future.
The 20 Questions Date Night Game Goes Like This:
Player #1 thinks of something. A place, thing, memory, or idea/dream.
Remember, whatever it is that Player #1 thinks of MUST be something that you have experienced with your partner, or want to experience.
It can be a place that you two have been to together, a conversation you had somewhere, something that you want to do with your partner in the future, something that you two have done together previously, etc.
Player #2 can ask up to 20 yes or no questions until they can guess what it is that Player #1 was thinking about.
Example Yes or No questions Player #2 Would Ask in 20 Questions for Couples:
- When we did this, were we alone?
- Is this something we did together before we were engaged?
- Was it summer when we did this activity?
- Does the thing you want to do together involve only you and I or other people?
- Is this somewhere that we go frequently?
- Was it cold outside when you told me this?
- Did we eat food there?
