21 Fun & Unique Baby Shower Games
Below, you’ll find our favorite baby shower games and activities with easy instructions, fun twists, and tips for making the whole shower unforgettable (in the best way!). Whether you’re the mom-to-be, the future Auntie, best friend, or just helping plan, this list has everything you need.
1. Baby Shower Bingo
Hand out bingo cards filled with baby items (like bottles, pacifiers, strollers). You can order these baby bingo cards all ready to go, or create your own. Baby bingo is a great way to keep gift opening fun and interactive.
While the mom-to-be is opening up her presents, each of the guests marks off the items that are on their bingo card (if they have a match). The first guest to get 5 in a row shouts “Bingo!” and wins. It’s fun and interactive. One of my favorite things about bingo is that it keeps everyone engaged during gift opening and adds excitement to the parts of the shower that can be a little long or slow at times.
2. Don’t Say “Baby”
At the start of the party, give each guest a clothespin. Explain the rules for “Don’t Say “Baby””. If someone hears another guest say “baby,” they get to steal their pin. The person who ends up with the most pins at the end of the shower wins. This one’s always a hit and a great way to get guests laughing and connecting.
3. How Big Is Mommy’s Belly (Measure The Baby Bump)
Guests try to guess the size of the mom-to-be’s belly using a string or ribbon. Each person cuts the length they think will wrap perfectly around the widest section of the baby bump. When everyone’s done, measure the guesses against the real belly size. The closest measurement wins! This game is always a crowd favorite because it’s sweet, funny, and gets everyone talking.
4. Diaper Raffle
If you choose to do a diaper raffle, you’ll need to include these instructions on the baby shower invitation. Simply encourage guests on the invite to bring a pack of diapers for a raffle ticket (guests will receive one raffle ticket for each pack of diapers. During the shower, draw names for small raffle prizes. It’s simple, fun, and helps stock up the parents-to-be with diaper essentials.
5. Guess How Many Candies
Fill a baby bottle, jar, or clear container with small candies like M&Ms, jellybeans, or Skittles. Have a Guess How Many Candies Are In The Jar sign and cards. I’ve always been a huge fan of this activity…it’s creative, simple, and a great way to give the parents something to look forward to in the middle of the night!
13. My Water Broke
This My Water Broke Game is always a blast! Before the shower, freeze tiny plastic babies inside ice cubes. Hand out one cube to each guest in their drink. The goal is to be the first to get the baby “free” from the ice. When the baby breaks free from the ice, guests shout, “My water broke!”.
14. What’s in Your Purse?
To play “What’s In Your Purse?”, create a points list of common (and unusual) purse items such as…lip gloss, hand sanitizer, snacks, and even baby wipes. Set a number of points for each item. Guests earn points based on what they can pull out of their bags. The guest who has the most points wins.
